Knowledge is obtained in various ways: from understanding matters from the experiences of life itself to the progression throughout life as when taught. It also is gained by what is seen or heard by others to the acknowledgment of situations in general. These forms of knowledge are natural ways that one recognizes from a beginning on to a continuous development that leads to attainment of recognition. There is, however, a supernatural knowledge given by The Holy Spirit called "the word of knowledge". This is another revelation gift giving insight that is not assisted by human effort. It is totally of God's Spirit. This "word", or matter dealing with information of understanding, operates in someone used by God through The Holy Spirit to bring an awareness of a situation that would not otherwise have been noted without the direct power of God working within an individual to make known what God has shown to the person. This Holy Spirit manifestation works through us as true believers in Christ Jesus who are fully submitted to God's Spirit and is chosen to be used in this way. It also brings forth the fact that God knows everything about every matter, and He uses others to make known things that would not otherwise have been known. Whereas, "the Word of Wisdom" is given for instuction on how to handle the facts of a situation, "the Word of Knowledge" is given about the facts themselves. These gifts are to be fully given in God's care for edification of the church. 1 Corinthians 12:8
