Gifts Of The Spirit

This particular faith is in regard to a God-inspired faith as a manifestation of The Holy Spirit. This faith is in operation as a gift in addition to the trust in God that we already have as Christians. Faith as a gift is even deeper than the basic trust that we have in God for salvation and is different than the aspect of faith in regard to part of the fruit of The Spirit. Faith as part of the fruit involves the faithfulness in our walk with God. (See Fruit Of The Spirit page on faith). Faith as a gift is an operative ability given by The Holy Spirit of God to believe in total assurance and reliance in God's Power for what seems to be impossible to be made possible by God's promises. This means that there is no doubt or wavering; but instead, there is an unquestionable trust and complete reliance for God's hand to bring to pass with action the results. This supernatural faith brings Glory to God and edification to belivers. This gift also works together with the gifts of healing and the working of miracles; for, with this connection, the capacity for action by God's mighty acts takes place. Those who desire this divine gift of The Holy Spirit of God must have a pure and sincere heart before God and a forgiving spirit toward others.
